Caixa, a 100% public Brazilian financial company, focused on serving low-income sectors, has joined the group of sponsors of the III Latin American and Caribbean Forum on housing and habitat: Housing at the center of the New Urban Agenda.

Caixa has been an important ally of Habitat for Humanity (HFHI), as it also participated as a sponsor of the II Latin American and Caribbean Forum on Adequate Housing, which was held in Monterrey, Mexico, in May 2015.

Caixa and social development

Since its creation in 1861, Caixa has always sought to be more than a bank for millions of Brazilians. This objective has been achieved through government social programs such as the Bolsa de Familia - which benefits more than 13 million Brazilians -, FIES and the Mi Casa Mi Vida Program.
